ARToolkit and Augmented Reality in Linux
Presented by Andrew Henderson
ARToolkit is an open-source library used for providing augmented reality (the "AR" of ARToolkit) algorithms. With little more than a Linux PC and a webcam, you can use ARToolkit to create some rather impressive demonstrations of augmented reality. Andrew will demonstrate the library, speak a bit about how it works, and provide some sample source code that the attendees can use at home to play with the library.
ARToolkit comes with sample applications, so software development knowledge isn't a requirement to tinker around with it library. Just build the library and sample apps and go.
Please feel free to do a search for "ARToolkit" on youtube. You'll see many clips of ARToolkit projects that hobbyists have been developing.
