Slackware
From JaxlugWiki
Slackware is the oldest Linux distrobution still in active Development. Originally created in 1993 by Patrick Volkerding, Slackware aims to be the most "Unix-Like" distro. With simplicity as the primary design consideration, Slackware comes with very few admin enhancement applications. Slackware's packages are distributed as the original package author's tarball with a slackware package description file. Slackware's package manager makes no attempt to manage dependencies so in that respect it is just like RPM. In short, this is not the distrobution for the faint of heart.
